What is included?

An interactive module lasting about 1 hour in total: 30 minutes plus 10 minutes for the knowledge test (10 questions).

Four modules:

  • Key security concepts ,
  • Security of e-mails and their use,
  • Security of passwords and their use, and
  • Anywhere, anytime security.

A certificate of success will be provided to the learner.

Main objectives

The main objectives of this e-learning course include:

    • Key security concepts ,
      • Introduction to security concepts: Confidentiality, integrity, availability,
      • Presentation of the main security principles: Separation of duties, least privilege,
    • Security of e-mails and their use,
      • Risks and attacks related to the use of emails,
      • Social engineering techniques used by hackers (social networks, telephone, email, etc.),
      • Importance of proper protection/encryption of email content and attachments,
      • How to recognize a suspicious email: detect phishing, detect identity theft, detect malware,
      • What to do with a suspicious email? Who to contact?
    • Security of passwords and their use, and
      • Risks associated with passwords,
      • Identifying risky behaviour,
      • The attitude of the user in daily professional and personal life with examples.
      • The importance of a good password
      • How to choose a good password,
      • Password construction (including rules and mnemonics for creating good passwords),
      • Alternative technique,
      • Use of systems such as a password card,
      • How to manage a password,
      • Importance of using a different password for each application,
      • Explain that hackers always try a password found on several sites,
      • Using password managers,
      • Generate strong passwords,
      • How to deal with a problem or suspected problem (how to report a problem).
    • Understanding security anywhere and anytime

    Assessing your knowledge

    At the end of the course there will be a knowledge test to ensure that the concepts and information have been transmitted. There will be 10 questions drawn at random from a question bank. You will be allowed an unlimited number of attempts and the pass mark for the certificate of achievement is 80%.

    Duration of the training

    The total duration of the training is 1 hour: and 30 minutes plus 10 minutes for the knowledge test.

    Certificate of completion

    A certificate of achievement will be issued to you in PDF format after you have completed the entire course and passed the knowledge test.

    Licences

    Each user licence gives access to the entire course content on the CLeS e-learning platform for a period of six months.

    Managing your own training account

    A “Manager” account can be created to allow you to manage the training of your user group directly on the CLeS platform. Your account allows you to manage your employees, add licenses, access numerous reports to track progress and evaluation results by user and/or group.

    In the event that multiple licenses are purchased, an administrator may be appointed to access and download licenses:

    • Detailed reports, in Excel format showing the data of the completion of the training by the users.
    • Copies of certificates of achievement.
